    Probation Violation
My 24 year old daughter was recently on the receiving end of domestic violence. There is no legal attachment between her and the violating party. He was currently on probation for a previous criminal act, for which he did some prison time. Last night they picked him up for the probation violation and domestic abuse issue. Please tell me what his chances of doing more prison time may be. Hopefully long, and can I do anything to insure that? Thank you.

    Hello Not:

There are too many factors to determine whether he'll serve time.

However, you can certainly call the prosecutor to tell him what you think. IF you're a victim, the prosecutor should listen to you. IF you're a witness, the prosecutor should listen to you. But if you're just a busybody, he won't, nor should he.
