    Could I still be pregnant
I was 4 weeks almost 5 weeks pregnant, and I woke up and ended up bleeding I didn't really have cramps or nothiing but I had lots of blood clots, but I never saw any tissue or anything relating to a miscarriage so I was thinking maybe it was just my period since I was still early and maybe my body didn't know yet, so I went to the doctors and got blood work my hcg dropped to zero. But I stopped bleeding 4 days later and I still feel pregnant, is it possible your hcg level can drop to zero and show you had a miscarriage but really still pregnant? I want to believe having a period will lower the level.is it possible? Thanks

What do you mean you thought your body didn't know?

It sounds like you are no longer pregnant. I'm sorry for your loss. Assuming you had been trying to get pregnant before, I would talk with your doctor about when it would be a good time for you to start trying to conceive again.

Do you know how your reproductive system works?

What happens is, about every month, you ovulate. If the egg is not fertilized, you have your period. When you get pregnant, that egg is fertilized and you don't have your period. Some women may experience bleeding, and any bleeding during pregnancy should always be discussed with your doctor. But you won't get an actual period when you are pregnant.

Here's a link that explains it a little better than I can.

Im sorry honey, you had a miscarriage. It IS possible to bleed during preganncy, but given that your HCG dropped to 0 after being pregnant, you are not pregnant any longer.

The reason you still feel pregnant is probably entirely psychological, and possibly psychosomatic.

It is also possible that your hormones are still trying to get back into their original swing.

Again, I am sorry you lost your pregnancy hon. *hugs*
