I owe state taxes for 2009 and when we filed this year we ended up owing for 2010 as well. I am paying now on the 2010 which was only $1200. However, when I tried to go to the local office for the 2009 taxes last year they would not accept what I could pay and therefore nothing got paid. My question is how can I start paying on my 2009 taxes since I am getting interest and penalties added to this one?
