Why would a 2-stage bryant start in second stage? Mod.311aav [2004]
Many two stage units will start in second stage and run for a period (usually around ten minutes before kicking up into 1st stage. Second stage is low fire, and once it has burned on low fire for a while, the board or thermostat will kick the unit into 1st stage (high fire). The unit running in low fire is actually where you get a lot of your efficiency from.
Thank you for your input on this matter! You are very correct.
