What are the problems with burying coax cable?
I am wondering if I bury about 6 feet of coax cable if it will cause issues when it rains and if the ground is wet. I have some quad shield coax cable and I was wondering if it being buried if it will cause any issues? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I would run in pvc conduit if possible.
In time Direct burial will cause problems, a small pinhole in the insulation would absorb moisture and reduce signal, especially at the higher frequencies.

Buried coax is likely to fail in time... putting it in pvc will eliminate 99.9% of the issues associated with direct burial. My satellite company has come out 2 times in 5 years to replace a cable which went bad underground. (glad I have the service agreement)
