What is the usual fee a lawyer charges to defend you in a collection matter
I'm just wondering what the usual fee is that attorneys charge in Rhode Island to defend someone who is being taken to court for collections that has reached SOL? Any idea's

Your most accurate answer would come by asking a RI lawyer what he charges. Lawyer fees vary a great deal, even in the same town so ask 3 lawyer what they want. However, if you have proof the debt is SOL you may not even need a lawyer. How old and what type of debt is this and who is taking you to court?
