    Pregnancy & hpv
I was wondering if it is possible to have hpv before getting pregnant and not find out until after giving birth? Even with the required tests pregnant women take during pregnancy(I think it includes a pap). Can you have it and not show for that long? Or does that mean the partner was cheating?

Only a DNA HPV test will detect HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). So unless you or your doctor suspect that you have HPV, after becoming pregnant, that specific test would not be done. A pap test only detects cervical cancer, not STDs or HPV.

If you suspect that your partner has been cheating, and may be a carrier, you should actually go yourself and be tested for HPV.

HPV is not always caused by a STD. Many women who have never had any more than one partner, even women who have never had intercourse can have HPV.
