How do I file for a dismissal of a case in Missouri?
I found out that I have a warrant for my arrest in Missouri for a failure to appear. My bail has been set at $3500.00 Cash only bond. This is a child support matter that I feel has been satisfied . I have done every thing the court asked me to do and have the proof. The court system in this small county is far from organized I was arrested once before on the same failure to appear. Paid $1500 cash only bond. I wish to show the proof that I have complied with the courts orders and cannot afford another $3500 cash only bond, or an attorney. What to do?

Did you actually fail to appear at a hearing?

If you did not appear at a hearing, then the warrant is valid

So you turn yourself in, get a hearing and prove your case.

The first failure to appear, I actually did appear. The child support recovery "secretary" even had it penciled in that I was there. They sid that wasn't an official court document. The one I am being charged with now, I actually called and talked with the child support recovery office, faxed them paperwork that they required, and was told I should be fine with that and they would talk to the prosecuter. I knew nothing about needing to appear a second time...

You should have learned from the first time, that you need sufficient documentation and not to believe everything you are being told. You need to surrender and show evidence that you were not aware of a required court appearance.
