Can the mother get full custody after giving up full custody to the father?
My wife had recently got a divorce from her husband on grounds that she was unhappily married to him, and she had given full custody to the father because she did not have a way to support the kids. She did not want to give full custody to the father but had no choice at the time. The kids love her and she loves the kids, the kids want to live with the mom and hate the father. The kids ages are 13, 7, and 3. She then got married to me, she now has a house, a car, she has a job, I'm in the military and she has a way to support the kids. He is also in the military but he is a single parent and he is also overseas. Will my wife be able to get full custody back of her kids now that she has a stable life, and with the fact that the father is still single, and still overseas, and the kids do not want to live with him?

    Hello m:

FULL custody?? No. What did HE do to deserve his kids being taken away from him?? Visitation? Sure. Shared custody?? Maybe. She needs to hire an attorney.

What the kids want isn't really important to a judge. He might LISTEN to the older kids, but I'll bet not. His decision will be based on what's in the best interest of the kids - not what the kids want.
