I have an 2000 motorcycle that a friend kept for me in her garage in calforina, I left the state family emergency never return back to calforina, bike has not been ran in many year,it should have been repo many year ago, I have file for bankupty in 2003 they never came and pickup bike, need to get bike out of friend garage *** give some advise.

Was the debt discharged in bankruptcy? Was part of the bankruptcy agreement that they would repo it?

What advice are you looking for. You don't have a title, and you'll never get a title, so you can't sell it. If you still have the registration, you can register it and drive it, but that's it.

Chances are that your bankruptcy paperwork indictated an intent to surrender the bike. Did you notify them where they could find it?Contact the secured party and ask them to come and get it.

Well you have a few options, If it is a sports bike people may be interested in using it as a "track bike" put an ad on kijiji or eBay. You may get some money for it. You can also attempt to part the bike out and see if you can get some money for it. Good luck.

You don't want to be in a position where you've lied to Bankruptcy Court. I doubt it will happen BUT your entire Bankruptcy Petition could be thrown out. AK is right on target.

Selling it when it was to be turned in is a crime - in part or in whole.
