    Hi question60:

Any effects can be quite individual. One thing that may be noticed is whether you continue to have regular cycles.

It can sometimes take several cycles before your body regulates from not being on the pill and that can cause cycles to be irregular at first. At 50, you might have started perimenopause and that also can cause irregular cycles... either prolonged bleeding, irregular bleeding, or very little bleeding.

Some women will experience these changes more profoundly than others, so it will be a matter of waiting and seeing what, if any, changes you may experience.

If you were to be in perimenopause, you may notice the start of occasional hot flashes, memory lapses, difficulty sleeping, and mood changes as well. Sometimes mild, sometimes enough to cause problems for people. Usually short term, but your doctor can also suggest things that might be helpful if necessary.
