    Looking for 1980's children's book?
I am looking for an early 1980 children's book. Don't remember the name, author or publisher. Read it to my daughter and it was her favorite book. I want to find it for her to read to her son. It was about animals and where they live. It started "east west home is best, sometime's homes a hanging nest." Other parts included
"cave is home to big black bear, cozy den is fox's lair". HELP!

    Wondergirl
I'm guessing it's the second one (both from "Stump the Bookseller" on the Loganberry Book site) --

Hoberman, Mary Anne, A House is A House For Me, 1978. "A web is a house for a spider" is the first line. Many other animal homes are mentioned in this long illustrated poem. Illustrations are interesting.

    OR

Daly, Kathleen N. The home is best book [former title: The nest book]. Illus by Jan Pfloog. Golden, 1968, 1976. About animal homes; Golden Shape Book. 1st spread is of orioles and their nest; next spread "A cave is home to big black Bear" then "A cozy den is Fox's lair." Then the head of a cat peering at the goldfish in their bowl, etc.
