Husband gives waitress dollar bill ring
We ate out with clients, and all noted a dollar bill that the waitress had been given, in the shape of a polo shirt. This inspired my husband to make her a dollar bill ring, the only shape he knows how to make. I thought it was inappropriate to give her the dollar-ring. What do you think?

    Hello m:

When I read the heading of your question, I immediately thought HE was wrong...

Now, in the context of others folding dollar bills and joking around with the waitress, I don't think he was.

I think it was rude. It may have been cute and funny, but it was at the expense of the waitress, who has to unfold the bills.

You wouldn't expect your pay all folded up in cute little shapes would you?

I think he was showing off a bit. Thoughtless but forgivable.

    Hello again,

I'll bet the waitress wouldn't have thought it was rude if it was $5 or $10.
