Well if you broke it you will have to pay for it, how old are you?

You break it, you buy it. That's the way it goes.

Borrow the money from your parents, or start saving what you can so that you can buy a new phone.

I'm going to assume that your friend isn't much older then you. He didn't break the phone, you did. It's only right that you buy a new one, even if it takes a while for you to do so.

Sounds like you will have to get a job and start making some money, ask your friend to give you some extra time until you get the money up or do some jobs for your folks or ask them to loan you some money

When you borrow anything it should be returned in as good or better condition as it was in at the time you got it.

Why would you not be responsible to correct your mistakes that cost others?

A man will bite the bullet and do what's right.
    Part time job ?

Say... do you want fries with that?

The dignity is doing what is right.

Let's replace the phone with a car.

Say you accidentally destroyed your friends car. You got it repaired, but the radio doesn't work, the air conditioning is stuck on high, and the gas tank is cracked. It pretty much renders the car useless, even though he can still get from point A to point B.

Would you be surprised if he wanted the entire car working, the way it was, before you destroyed it?

I would, if it were me, do a little research on the make/model of the phone, and find out what they cost. Then, go get him a new phone.

Anything less than that will likely cost you a friendship.

(-_-) its clear what u need to do... just tell your friend your situation let'em know "look i know i owe you a phone but i dont have the money right now so if you can just get another one for the time being and i'll pay you back". If your friends a good one they'll understand (^_^)
