Is it safe to get tattooed while pregnant I'm 20 weeks now

Why can't you wait until after the baby is born ? Is it that urgent that you have it done while pregnant? I personally would not take the chance of any infection from the tattoo process.

I got tattooed last year before I knew I was pregnant. Granted I was told I could never get pregnant otherwise I never would have. There's two dangers you need to be aware of when considering this. A) cross contamination and viruses leading to HIV and Aids. Big problem, especially while pregnant. B) the shock your body goes through while receiving the tattoo. You go through enough shock without being pregnant. Now think about the stress it causes the embryo. Sometimes this can even cause miscarriages.

From personal experience, my body hated it. I am covered in tattoos, and enjoy getting them very much (relaxing for me). But when I got that one it almost seemed like my body was fighting it. And then a month later I found out I was pregnant and it all made sense.

Only you can make this decision, but I wouldn't recommend it. And if the shop finds out your pregnant, they will refuse to tattoo you. It's a liability.
