    I liv in Louisiana but always work in other states. What would be considered my tax home

    Since LA is not a common law state, the residency rules may be different. However, in almost all other states, your house would be your tax home, where you pay property taxes. That does not mean you would not have to pay income tax to other states since you earned income there. I lived in NJ, worked in NJ and PA and had to pay income tax in both of them on a pro rata basis. What state does your paycheck come from and does it identify income from different states?
