    Tongue peircing

Pain and cost is nothing compared to the discomfort of trying to talk around a tongue piercing. Very similar to a speech impedement. You know what you are saying, but no one else does. Then there is the trauma on your lovely teeth; chips, abscess problems; gum discomfort because your teeth don't actually seem to fit anymore.

Oh, and, any infection can take out your entire mouth and possibly throat problems.

Okay. That is my take on cost of having a tongue piercing.

Pain is subjective and varies by person. You're talking about sticking a needle through your tongue and putting a piece of metal there... so think about that and compare it to your pain tolerance.

Cost varies from shop to shop. I got my nose pierced for $15 but piercings can be much more expensive.

Anyway there's the answer to your questions. The implicated costs that Tickle mentions are far greater and should be taken into consideration. Do you know how many dentists refuse to work on people with mouth piercings? I mean, why work on fixing something that is deliberately breaking itself?

I know it seems cool for now, but reeeeeally think about it. Your pearly whites are important!

Im only Sixteen and I got my tongue pierced 3 days ago, it did not hurt at all. But that night my tongue started to ache and it was very painful and specially the day after. But the 2nd day it didn't hurt but was still swollen but I managed to eat normally just with a little discomfort. And as for the cost.. I wouldn't have a clue.

Do you mean your parents paid for it and allowed you to have a tongue piercing ? Don't you think you should make yourself aware of what is going on?
