The clicking sound is from the main relay. Usually, it is the effect and the cause is a problem with the ECM. Try cleaning the ECM's main ground, likely located on the thermostat housing. I would also remove and clean the Backup Fuse in the under hood fuse box. If the problem persists, consider replacing the main relay. Cold solder joints on the printed circuit board can open and cause the relay to fail. This usually happens during the heat of the day.
