    Could I be pregnant?
My last period was on Dec. 25
My husband and I have not used birth control in several months
Beginning in January, I started to have these symptoms (no positive test though) along with a strong feeling that I had conceived:

    Dizziness
    Sensitive nipples
    Cramping
    Exhaustion
Severe, severe moodiness (my poor husband)
    When hungry, I'm starving!
    Bloating

Not one positive test (all urine) Dr. did one as well (urine) and nothing
    Last one this morning

I have a 26 day cycle and was due to get my period today
The only thing I am seeing is a slight slight brownish discharge on a pantiliner

Please help me, I posted earlier in the month too. Now my moodiness is so bad that I'm getting scared. Anyone have this before?

Sounds like you are gearing up for your period to me. If your period doesn't come in the next week I would either wait until one week from today to take another test, OR go in and get a blood test done.

You could be ovulating, all those symptoms could be that or pregnancy. Still I'd follow up with a blood test. Just to be on the safe side.

I agree with Chippers. Many women believe in "implantation bleeding" however it is more like ovulation bleeding. You may be ovulating at this time.

You do need to follow up with a blood test and maybe a complete exam.

I guess I am having a hard time understanding when excatly ovulation occurs. If I am supposed to get my period today, then shouldn't ovulation occur in about a week or more? Would you please help me clarify this?

That depends on if you have regualr periods. Your best bet is to follow up and ease you concern with a blood test.

Okay, for a typical 28 day cycle (easiest to explain) ovulation occurs around 12 - 16 days after the first day of your period.

So, in this scenario, if your period begins on the first day of the month, you can expect to ovulate around the 12th to the 16th of the month. It is different for every woman.

I doubt that you are. I had the same symptoms a while ago. I seriously thought that I was pregnant. In the end my period showed up.

Every woman is different so I am not saying that you are not pregnant.

    Good Luck

Thank you. Now my question is, if my last period was on December 25th and today is January 20th I wouldn't be ovulating would I? I feel very frustrated because I have not felt like myself. I went to the dr. like I said and he did a urine test. Do you think I should request blod?Or do you think that pregancy is out of the question? Everything I have read points to the posssibility of pregnancy. However, I am not getting a positive HPT.

Understand that while HPTs are good, they are also notorious for false negatives.

No, under those conditions you would not be ovulating right now. Ovulation should have occurred around the 5 - 9 of January. Also, understand I do not know your history, so I am only guesstimating.

Yes, you should make an appointment and request a blood test. If that is negative you need an exam to find out what is going on.

If your last period was Dec 25th... You should be getting your period within a few days or even today if your cycle is 28 days.

Urine tests can be affected by the slightest thing. Your best bet is to get a blood test. The small brown discharge could be old blood that is often leaked after conception. Then again if you are pregnant, your hormone level may not be picked up in the urine. Some are some are not.
    I hope this helps
