1980's TV movie about girl ghost?
Can anyone remember a TV movie from the early 80's possibly late 70's about a girl ghost who kept singing catch a falling star and put it in your pocket? The kid (I think a boy) finally figures out where her body is (in a wall at the school), and the guy that had killed her is a friend of the family. The kid figures out that it is the killer because he starts singing that song again. There is a dramatic scene with the kid locked in a car in the country and the bad guy is on the outside trying to get in. I had to leave at this point and never saw the rest. I hope someone can remember what it is called. I would love to watch it with my 12yo. Thanks!

I think you're looking for Lady in White - the car scene involved like a station wagon type car, and I believe the family friend (the murderer) had taken the boy out to do some archery. The song he sings (actually I think the boy notices him whistling it), isn't 'catch a falling star' - it's something like 'have you ever seen a dream walking, well I have... ' I will try to find a clip for you...
Also - if this is the movie you're looking for, they don't find her body in the wall of a school, the murderer had thrown her off a cliff - his ring is in a heater duct type space in the school cloakroom where he assaulted the girl...

Thanks so much! No wonder I couldn't find anything with catch a falling star!

No problem! - Here's a clip from YouTube with the car scene (kind of surprised it was on there - love this movie, remember watching it when I was like 8 - sooo scary then!)
