Will Sims 3 Work on my Computer?
I have been dying to get Sims 3 for ages, but I have heard that it won't work on my computer, which is a "Windows Vista Buisness" (WVB).

I have had Sims 2 and Sims 2 pets installed for about a year and never had any problems with it.

Can any one tell me if Sims 3 would work on my computer or not? Has anyone got the Sims 3 installed on a WVB? Thanks x

Here's the system requirements for Sims 3:
System Requirements - The Game - Community - The Sims 3

The OS doesn't really matter, it's more to do with the available hardware.

    This is great, thanks!
    This is what I need:

•2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
    •1.5 GB RAM
•128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
•Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1
•At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

I know I have enough hard drive space, but how do I find out about all the other stuff such as how much RAM I have and what my video card is etc? Thanks!

Do this for a breakdown of your system.

Start > Run > type "dxdiag" > enter

This brings up a small screen with all of the needed info on it.

There doesn't appear to be a "run" option on my start menu. All I see is: search, all programmes, documents, music, computer, network, connect to, control panel, help and support.

If I run a search all that comes up is some text document to do with sims 2, which is solely made up of numbers and capital letters.

I'm still only getting a text document called "Sims2Exception" which gives me nothing other than capital letters and numbers

I am entering dxdiag into the search bar which is on my start panel. The aforementioned document is the only thing that comes up.

There is no reason in the world that sims3 wouldn't work on a PC, the only way it wouldn't is if your PC did not stand to meet its requriements
