Splitting the power from a generator
I have a 40kw generator for my home, I would like to send power to both the home and a mother-in-law appt, Each has it own meter from the power company. I will be installing manual transfer switches. The concern is "load imbalanced" can this be done without causing an issue?

First you must make sure that both loads are balanced. Small differences in line(R,Y,B) currents may be neglected.
