Overheat safety switch? Check for extra clogged lint behind the front bottom panel. Check the belt that turns the drum.

I would say that your drier is full of lint and the safety has tripped or burned open to keep it from running and causing a fire. You have to totally disassemble the drier and wash out the parts to remove lint buildup which is like cement. It's not that hard to do. Just get in there with a screwdriver and take it apart. Remember how the belt goes back on, or take a picture(s) so you will have a reference when you wonder how it goes back. It's not really that hard to do. DrTom4444

One thing you need to do is to ohm out the safeties so you find the one that needs replacing or resetting. The safeties are wired in series so if one goes out nothing works. DrTom4444

I agree that it's probably a lint problem. Same thing happen to my dryer. I decided to take a look at the back and inside that duct looking hose where the lint comes out, and it was packed with lint. I just removed the hose from the back of the dryer and cleaned out all the lint inside and around and it worked just fine after that. I was so proud I figured that out on my own haha!
