220V is 2 hot wires 2- black or 1-black and 1 red + 1 ground 12 awg should be large enough.

OK, I needed to rewrite my original answer to better clarify what I was trying to say.

The short answer is still no! The transformer configurations are different.

First, Single Phase, 120/240 will not get you the 208 volts you need

To get both 120/208 and 120/240 you would have to go with a 3 phase 4 wire Delta High Leg connection.

This is a dangerous configuration for a residence with respect to connecting the "High Leg", Orange conductor incorrectly. Between the Orange and White you have your 208 volts. (If you somehow set up a general use circuit using the Orange/White conductors, you would be putting 208 volts for lights or receptacles. In short you get to go out and replace all of your electronics because you just fryed them.) You would get 240 volts Between Orange and red or Orange and Black. Also between Black and Red.

120 volts is obtained from white to black or white to red.

For one thing, there is no "220V". It is either 208V or 230/240V. There IS a difference.

Also, what are you basing the "12 awg should be large enough" statement on? Regardless, this is almost certainly wrong.
