    1. Write the equation for the occurring reaction.
    2. Balance that equation.
    3. Work out the number of moles of Mg you have.
    4. From your equation and the given data, find the limiting reactant.
    5. Hence, find the reactant being in excess.
    6. Using the limiting reactant, find the number of moles of hydrogen gas released.
    7. Use the fact that at rtp, 1 mol of gas occupies 24 L.
