    Do inserts work?
I was reading the boxes of condoms in the store and saw "Encore vaginal inserts" and was wondering is anyone can give me information on them... Have you used them? Did they work? How did you remove it? I'd just like to know some stuff about them before I buy them...

Was it encare? Encare Vaginal Inserts - Blairex Encare Vaginal Contraceptive Inserts 18 Each - Epinions.com like that?

While spermicides are considered pretty effective when used correctly, not everyone does use them correctly and there are other methods that are considered more effective. They can also be messy. And some women are allergic to them. You don't remove it after. Your body will naturally flush itself out through discharge. I haven't tried these particular inserts, but I have tried the gel and the film form. The gel tends to be very messy afterward. You also have to keep in mind that these do NOT protect against stds at all. They strictly protect against pregnancy.

Since no form of birth control is 100% effective, I would not recommend using any one method alone. Even when using multiple forms of birth control there is still always some chance of pregnancy.
