Hi there I was just wondering if there is anybody who may know what is wrong with my partner. Yesterday he had 1 bite of a burger then he had to run to the toilet to be sick and after felt hot. He was feeling fine before then. The thing is he's not actually throwing his food up. Its hard to explain but it looks like a clear bubble/ball of spit and he can't eat or drink anything because within 5minutes he's throwing it back up but he is starving. He also said that it feels like he has something stuck in his throat but not like when food stuck. This has happened to him before but it went shortly afterwards. This time it's been all last night and still there today.
Someone said it may be something to do with his adams apple.
Can anybody help?

Also the spit/saliva he is throwing up is like clear phlegm its thick.

It sounds exactly like a condition I have called GERD. If not treated it will get worse. I promise you.

Have him make an appointment with his doctor to explain this. There is a medication that can treat it with fabulous results, called Nexium.
