She'll find a willing audience in the White House and a polite reception in Congress.
The Aussies in the Security Council ? Hmmm . Maybe is the eunich Great Britain is removed that would provide the opening .
Which eunich was that you were talking about? Australia has been a member of the security council before just not a permanent member. As to whether she has a polite reception or not, what is she going to tell them they don't already know? She is a political also run and barely in control, why she should get a hearing is beyond me.
Because she was invited by a like minded POTUS. What is strange is her getting the honor of an address to a joint session of Congress.
Yes they probably want to convince her to add to our contingent in Afghanistan but as Obama is good at taking honours he is not due, perhaps he is good at handing them out too, or perhaps he wants some pointers on how to knife his opponents in the back. I would say he has just given the little red fox the kiss of death
If that's true than he will at least have served Australia well.
She's still a lefty... but she apparently picked some some Howard toughness . She made a great speech.
