I don't know what you mean. You pay taxes based on income. No one cares how many days you worked; they only care about your income.
Sorry, I was wondering if my husband can file as head of household since I was paid only half the year, but I guess you answer my question... we will file joint again.

Yes, you are probably best off filing as Married Filing Jointly. The only other choice is Married Filing Separately, but that usually results in a higher tax bill (unless you have a very unusual circumstance such as high medical bills or casualty losses). But in any event your husband can not file as Head of Household because he is married.
