Pressure on my submersible well pump keeps dropping on the gauge then starts up
Pressure on my submersible well pump keeps dropping on the gauge then starts up again this takes 2 to 3,minnutes and the pump kicks in and the cycle starts all over again.
The tank and preasure are approximately 20 meters from the bore, I only use this bore to water the garden.

    Possible faulty check valve.

I think HK hit the nail on the head. Either a leaking CV or leaking well pipe. You need to see if there is a checkvalve above ground, between the wellhead and the pressure tank. If there is, I would replace it. If there is not, then that means the cv is in the well. You can still put a cv above ground which would probably solve your problem.

Of course, there is still a chance that the leak is "past" the pressure tank, but a leak this large should be noticed.

Thanks and I agree I plan to isolate each pipe after I make sure the CV or well pipe are OK I just had the submersible replaced by professionals. All the pipes to the taps is buried which makes it difficult. I live in Brisbane Qld Australia and our wet season hasn't help if it is a leaking pipe. Thanks once again your input is appreciated

GR, put a cutoff valve at the pressure tank so you can simply turn off the pipe to the house. With the valve turned off, if the pressure drop stops, then you know that the problem is "upstream" of the tank.
