I have possesiond that were destroyed by water, electronics, clothes, government issued gear was ruined by water(I am Military). i called the landlord, they got it fixed that next day. I asked about who was going to replace my stuff, 2 days go by no answers. i called the landlord again and got the excuse that I have to have renters insurance cover it! I cannot afford renters, it automatically would have increased my auto from 94 to 234. I have to pay a deductible of 500$. The land lord said that he would not do anything, he would see if the plummers' insurance would cover it. has not called me back. I called him left a message again demanding an answer, no return call still. If he dmits fault then why should i be respocible for my ruined stuff?
what are my options? small claims or?
