Portable internet access, other than a phone
Is there a product (notebook, ipad) that can has internet access, even if I don't have access at home?

What sort of phone do you have? I ask because your phone (certain ones) can have the access to get and give internet access.

There are a number of netbooks, notebooks and tablets that can access the GSM cellular network via and installed sim card.
There are also USB dingles that do the same job.

Difficult to be more specific without knowing your general location.

Wow. I just re-read this after reading the title (except for phones) :(

I apologize. In that case Curlyben is right about various notebooks that have capabilities to connect via internet through means other than standard means.

I recently got my boss a new S-series Vaio that has just this functionality.

Very nice piece of kit, with i5, 64 bits and alloy case.
