What can I do if I am in love with my boss?
I'm love with my boss. I know it is not right. He is very attracted to me, he gets nervous when he is around me, however he treats me unfairly at work and he doesn't give me the opportunities that he does with other colleagues.
Knowing that the situation does not get anywhere, I've tried to leave few times and he didn't allow it, by not giving good references. The more I stay there, the more involved I become, and the more I hurt by his actions.
    What can I do?

Well, if you want to try keeping him and your job, you could talk to him. Maybe he's trying to make sure he doesn't show you any favoritism and just taking it farther than he realizes.

What is your work places policy on office romances? If you can't talk to him, you'll have to choose between him or your career.

Why not ask him why he hasn't been giving you the opportunities that you are looking for?

Ask him what you can do better at so that you can qualify for more challenging work.

Thank you for your response Saaaye69. I think this is my only option at this stage. I need a new beginning.

Sometimes new beginnings are best. And if that's what you're feeling like you need, then it probably will work out for the best

You should leave, and if a good recommendation is not forthcoming, you can be honest with your interviewers as to why. Tell him your boss was attracted to you (and you to him if that is true) and the result was you being treated unfairly with no solution.

Or fudge a little and tell your interviewers that your current boss is irrational, one of the reasons you are leaving, and if he found out you were seeking alternate employment he would respond unreasonably to you.

Suggest they call your coworkers and other management to get a correct evaluation.
