I got dumped by my girlfriend of two months, I was her first boyfriend and she told me she just didn't feel the same anymore. Her best friend however told me a few weeks later that it was because I was too clingy. This really got to me because she never told me it was a problem, I just liked to hold her. Before we broke up we had an argument and I felt bad about what I said so I texted/fb messaged/called her apologizing for what I said and that I never meant to upset her, could this have been the reason she dumped me, should I contact her, ask to talk and tell her I realised this? It's been a month since we broke up.

No you shouldn't, the damage is already done. And her feelings are gone - you can only fix a relationship if both parties wish to fix it. In this case it's only you!

Instead think of yourself and get this girl out of your head. And start doing the things you like to do, I recommend the gym, since a change in the body is going to keep yourself occupied :) I've started like 2½ month ago, and I see significant changes and I feel great :)

Leave her alone and do better with the next one.

In relationships, you should always try to make them miss you!
