    Whirlpool SM8525492 out of balance?
I have a whirlpool washing machine SM8525492 and during spin it now vibrates and makes a lot of noise. The vibration is much stronger on the normal spin cycle as it is spinning faster. Other than that, the washer seems to be working normally. Is the washer out of balance or is this a more serious repair?

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul...

The first thing to check is to see if the washing machine has fallen "out of level"... could be that the one or more of the levelling legs needs to be adjusted. If possible, use a 2 ft. level and level from side to side and front to back... see if that resolves the issue.

Let us know what happens, OK?

    Thanks...

Sorry for the delay in getting back. I checked the washer with a level and the washer is level front to back and side to side.

The washer really only spins out of balance on the fastest spin cycles, on permanent press or slow spins, it does not vibrate that much. If the washer is level, and really only has problems with the fast spin cycle, would could be wrong?

    Thanks!
