Got a kenmore 11020432990 washer. The water will not fill up on the tub. Water flow into the tub is good, but after about 3 inches I notice the water is draining out of the drain pipe, keeping it from filling it up. Could the water be just flowing through the drain pump or is it an electrical problem.

The drain hose must be at least as high as the maximum water level in the washer and must not be sealed to the drain. If it's not as high as the max, it gravity drains and if it is sealed to the house drain, it creates a siphon after the first pump out.
