I'm currently studying abroad in UK. And before I came over here, Ive heard a lot that western guys have this fantasy for asian girls.. like.. eventho They are not attractive in asia, western guys love asian girls the only reason they look exotic to them?

Is that true?

There are stereotypes in any culture.
Yes, some western men are attracted to Asian women for their looks, whether they find them exotic or just pretty. The stereotype is submissiveness, obedience. As with any stereotype, people find that what they have been told doesn't apply to every person. Latins aren't all passionate lovers and those of African descent don't all have rythmn and Scandanavians aren't all cold, and so on, all over the world.

Thumbs up to JoyPulv. It's not really the fact that they're "exotic", but more or less the Western idea of what an Oriental women is. Many people in the west believe that many Oriental women are like the Japanese women you see on the old Samurai movies. Polite, petite and talks only when spoken to.

I myself find Asian women attractive. But I prefer "Westernized" Asian women.
