Hello we own a Whirlpool Catalist washer which fills but doesn't agatate, then displays a fault code of 'Ld' what does that mean and can it be repaired by me ?

This is a very common issue in these units. This is a long drain error code. Tip the washer back and remove the pump from the bottom. Clean the pump and run the washer. I know this unit well. If you have more questions post back and I will assist you.
