    Hello ben:

    You can't learn how to defend yourself against a seasoned attorney. If this was small claims, you could. But, it's not. If you have lots of assets at risk, I'd hire an attorney.. If you're broke, and have NOTHING to lose, let 'em get a judgment, for all the good it'll do them.

    Maybe a few details about why they are suing would help. Are they trying to recover money they paid out to someone else because of you?
