    If my girlfriend takes off to another state with my unborn child! What rights do I have! I have great career the state I am in!

    Since the child is not yet born, I don't believe you have any rights. After the birth, be sure to get a paternity test and go to court to establish visitation and child support.

    So I will be stuck with the child being clear across the country! With not being able to doing anything about!

    As J_9 told you, your rights can be established after the child is born. But yes, if she moves before the child is born, you can't do anything about it. And she will be able to get a support order from you if paternity testing proves you to be the father.

    Sorry, but you should have thought about these consequenses before you impregnated a woman to whom you were not married.

    You will be able to get visitation once the child is born and paternity established. But, as noted, you will not be able to stop her moving. You could try for primary physical custody, but unless the mother proves unfit, that is unlikely.

    While the child is an infant, visitation will probably mean you going to her. But as the child gets older, you will be able to take the child for a week or so and when the child gets into pre-school and school years, get the child for some holidays and the summer, etc.
