    Hair Dye Mistake
    Hello,

My problem is complicated but I feel you can help me. Back in September I permed my hair, and now the perm is starting to come out. I dyed my hair last week using Loreal Preference in Sun Blonde. My natural hair color is Dark blonde by hair dye standards, I think it is more of a honey golden blonde. I have never dyed my hair before this. I have used 28 wash type hair dye in the past, but this time it was a permanent dye. It lighten my hair, but its really not that nice on me. It doesn't look anything like the box color. Also my roots are starting to turn back to my original color. The reason I dyed my hair in the first place was because the top of my hair was a darker blonde than the middle and bottom. Something normal as we age, blonde hair darkens.

I hate the color as it looks like a strawberry blonde. I guess I have red highlights because my mom is a natural red head. I bought Color Oops and want to try it, and then dye my hair a medium brown which is like what my natural roots looked like. I don't know if it is a good idea to use the color oops and redye since some posts said that if you use color oops and then redye it will be much darker than the box or a dark red. I think red hair is beautiful just not on me.

If I do use color oops will by natural color come back since its been a week. Any help you can advise would help me greatly.

    Thanks

I don't really understand what color you want to achieve in the end but if it is the reddness you do not like then you need to use an ask blonde. This will illiminate any red tones. I suggest using a medium-dark ash blond because they always go a bit darker than you think they are going to go and I think using a medium brown would be far to dark and be too much of a shock for you!
    I hope this information help!

I have never heard of color oops before but I am guessing it is a product that strips out color? If it is this then I STRONGLY recomment you not to use this. These products are very damaging to the hair. If it is just the reddness you want to tone down then like I said before an ash is your best bet.
