Are these contractions/something to worry about/or nothing at all
Hi there. I am 38 weeks pregnant and was 1 cm dilated on Wendsday. I have been having constant pain in my lower abdomen and lower pelvic area. It never goes away and is nothing I can time so I was wondering if this was contractions or possibly something else.

Probably you`ve already given birth, and this is no place to ask that, but one should go immediately to a hospital in your situation. Of course they are contractions. I`m nota woman, but a father of three. God bless you, and guide you, and make it easy for you.
    All best whishes.

But contractions are of different levels, and when it`s the ones that you have when giving birth, you won`t have to ask. You`ll know, and so will everyone around you. It may be something else too, but I`m just saying it seems quite clear in your situation that you should be having contractions, and it would be very strange not to have experiences of any pain in those areas at that time.

And I`m not a doctror, and doctors are to be consulted, or midwives according to any reasonable person concerning that. I`m just a former student nurse, in other words nothing. But I hope my advice is of benefit. Excuse me.

Call the nurses station at your birthing site.
You aren't being a pest from Wed to Sat or any time from now on, I think.
Were you told to walk a lot?

Thank you guys for the advice. They said I could walk, among other things, which I have been walking about a mile a night with my husband.

Soothe the pain in a nice warm bath.
    Have you called the nurses?

That`s nice. It`s good you don`t go alone, because you can`t predict when the labour starts. Take care.
