Paying rent on time and moving in two weeks
We are currently paying rent and living with a friend of my husbands in the army... my husband and I will be moving back to Ohio in two weeks and they know this, but after a disagreement ( think she ripped off our temp tag on car ) not sure what they are going to say. I need to know our rights! And when I say that we pay rent we pay 600 a month plus our part of utilities and buy our own food also. We don't want to move somewhere for two weeks when we will be gone then forever! Our name is not on the lease and without us there they won't be able to afford this place and will probably move once we do... what rights do we have?

Is there a written contract with them or is it just a courtesy? If no contract with them, you can walk out. She may be in violation of the lease if she is charging you rent to live there without the LL approval.

    Hello m:

Even if she tries, she can't evict you in two weeks, and the cops or MP's won't get involved.
