Do you courts really treat parents equal?
I am taking the mother of my 4 year old son to court for shared parenting, she has no reason not to allow this besides just not wanting it. We live like 10 minutes from each other. Will I really be treated just as equal as her, it is not like I am just now stepping up I was just proven to be the father last year. Before I seen him 3-4 days a week minimum, will this help me? I am worried they will side with her and not give it to me. I am just praying for the best. I want to be involved in my sons life as much as possible and standard visitations just isn't an option for me. Both homes are good homes but he shares a room at his moms and has his own at my house. Mom lives off welfare, just now got a job and I am afraid she will quit it if she feels it is going to help me. I work full time so that I can pay my bills and child support.
