    Missing father
So this is complicated. I lost rights to my daughter 11yrs ago and just recently gained power of attorney to get some things done for her. I have been trying to get a hold of my ex husband so he can send me a letter notarized and stating that he is relinquishing all rights as well as being a part of her life. I have heard that you can just call the county and state that he is located in and put an ad in the paper for at least 2 weeks. I have no clue how to go about this... I guess what I am trying to say is what would you say in that type of situation to be placed in a new paper? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try an ad. Lawyer Wanted.

Really what your asking for doesn't exist. You will need a court to relinquish parental rights and they don't normally do that except for adoption.

Where ever or who ever told you or where you heard this, no you are wrong.

First how did you "lose" your rights, POA does not really give you any rights, who gave you a POA ? And what was it for.

Next no your ex can not just sign anything to give us his rights, it has to go though the courts, and seldom will the judge allow it.

And no you can't do it by posting something in the news paper, except for notice of a court hearing if you can't find him prior to going to court for a hearing
