    Algebra multiple choice questions with matrices
    I have tried to understand the first few but I can't get the rest, and if you don't understand the questions because I typed them wrong then please tell me!
    Here they are:

    Question 1
    Which of the following is a linear equation/are linear equations in x1, x2 and x3?
    A. 2x1 − √3x2 + 0, 032x3 = 5
    B. 7x1x2 − 4x2 + x3 = 0
    1. Only A 2. Only B 3. Both A and B 4. Neither A nor B.
    I chose 1.

    Question 2
    Which of the following is a solution/are solutions of the system
    x + 2x − z = 8
    3x − y + 2z = −5
    4x + 2y + 3z = −1
    A. (1, 2, −3)
    B. (1, 2, 3)
    1. Only A 2. Only B 3. Both A and B 4. Neither A nor B.

    I don't know this one, nor the rest below. Please help!!

    I don't understand the first one or the second one. As for the rest, besides 4, I didn't do matrices to such an extent.

    4. When do two linear equations not have any solution?

    Ghosty - please do not copy all your homework problems and expect us to solve them for you. You say you tried the first few - please show us your work and where you're getting stuck and we'll be glad to help you through.
