I am a freshly new 18 year old girl and my mom has for the past year relapsed on Meth. On top of that she has been an extreme alcoholic for going on 3 years (almost a half gallon a day) and lately has spun wildly uncontrollable. I haven't had much of a relationship with her because she used to beat me so I moved in with my aunt and uncle. Last month she tried to commit suicide and cut her arm from elbow to wrist. She refuses help and still continues to threaten suicide. I tried calling the cops but since she didn't answer the door they couldn't do anything. I want her to go to rehab but I have no idea how to go about it. Help?

If she can be assessed by doctors and deemed dangerous to herself and others (which from your description this is the case) then the police have to arrest and have her examined. I suggest if you call the police again, you go with them so they can get into her house.

Since I don't live with her I don't have a house key and our relationship is so bad that I doubt she'd let me in..
