    Problem with whirlpool washer spinning
When the machine spins the tub moves around and it sounds like it is hitting the sides of the machine how can this be fixed.

Most of the time this is caused by unbalanced heavy loads, jeans, towels or rugs. Make sure to evenly distribute the load. Most tubs have mechanical snubbers that press down on the tub. If you get a lot of softener on them, they tend to slide around and you may have to lift the top and clean or replace them. If the washer is not properly leveled it will also do this sometimes.
