I just bought a new laptop its an hp it runs off windows7 but anyway I had a router atomaticly connected to the old laptop but since I bought a new laptop I had to connect this laptop to the router but then I realized I don't remember the password so I just reset the router and now I don't know how to get it back up and running can you help me please??

What version do you have? It should say on the bottom of your router. (ver 1 or ver 2)
Essentially what you need to do is connect via an ethernet cable, login to the router's web interface via default credentials and reset up the router.

Are you able to see the wireless after you reset. It should be "Linksys" and unsecured?
