    Eviction of a family member?
A friend has been living in her mother's home basically her whole life.
A transfer of title gave the home to different daughters.
The sisters are now trying to evict her.
    Can they do this?

Yes. If your friend is not an owner, the owner have the right to evict her if she does not have a lease. First they have to give her notice (generally 30 days) that her tenancy is being ended. If she refuses to leave, they can go to court for a legal eviction order.

Disabled friend evicted from her home
A friend of mine has been living in a home for most of her life. She stayed with her mother as her sisters asked. She became disabled a few years ago. About 5 months ago, the family found out the mother has cancer. The mother transferred title to one of the sisters. Now the two other sisters are ganging up on my friend, who wasn't required to pay rent and has been basically bullied by her sisters and mother.

Can this family evict her if she has never been required to pay rent, and of course, doesn't damage the home in any way and is of no harm to anyone? She just wants to live in her room and be left alone. Any help as soon as possible would be appreciated.

First, please don't start multiple threads for the same issue. You can use the Answer options to add to your thread. I've merged your threads for you so please respond here.

My original answer stands. The fact that she has never been required to pay rent or does no damage is immaterial. She does not own the property, therefore she has no right to live there if the owners want her out.

It all depends on your friends mother's will.if there is no will then yes they can take it to court n win .still your friend has a good chance ,if she want's to get her share.as I assum they want to sell .
I say tell her to drag it outside court first..

If her mother did transfer the name then its hard ,but still delay. And get a good lawyer

*** comman sense, yes they can if she don't fight back OK.

    *** Scott they are sisters.

On eviction Scoot is right.but even the court knows about delaying??

The mother is apparently still alive. ("bullied by her sisters and mother. ")

The owners of the property have the right to control who resides there. Them being sisters has no legal bearing.
